The Lost Brother

Cetarti finds himself adrift in a void of purposelessness. Jobless and aimless, he whiles away his hours glued to documentaries on the small screen until the devastating news shatters his stagnant existence: his mother and brother have fallen victim to a violent attack. Thus begins his journey from the bustling streets of Buenos Aires to the desolate landscapes of Lapachito, a dilapidated settlement nestled in the Chaco province of northern Argentina. His mission: to attend to the remains of his loved ones and secure the life insurance payout. In this forsaken place, he crosses paths with Duarte, a figure of authority in the town with ties to his mother's killer and a clandestine side business of kidnapping for profit. As Cetarti delves deeper into this murky world, he finds himself entangled in a web of illicit activities in pursuit of the insurance money, ultimately unraveling a chain of events that culminate in a bizarre and unforeseen conclusion.
